Pro Tip: Adding Custom Formula Fields to Campaign Member

Adding a Lead or Contact value

In the example below, we are adding "Persona" from either Lead or Contact to a custom formula field on Campaign Member. The following logic is applied:

  1. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Contact, get the Persona value from Contact.
  2. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Lead, get the Persona value from the Lead.

Adding an Account value when not using Align.ly Lead-to-Account

In the example below, we are adding "Industry" to a custom formula field on Campaign Member. The following logic is applied:

  1. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Contact, get the Industry value from Account.
  2. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Lead, get the Industry value from the Lead.

Adding an Account value when using Align.ly Lead-to-Account

In the example below, we are adding "Industry" to a custom formula field on Campaign Member. The following logic is applied:

  1. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Contact, get the Industry value from Account.
  2. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Lead with a Matched Account (using Align.ly Lead-to-Account), get the Industry value from the Matched Account.
  3. If the Campaign Member record is associated with a Lead with no Matched Account, get the Industry value from the Lead.
